Affirming Resources for Adults

Updated: Jun 19

You might be looking for books, podcasts, videos and content to aide in your exploration of your identity. Here are my favourite recommendations.

Learning as an adult that you're Autistic or ADHD (or both!) can definitely bring with it a question of "Okay... now what?". There may be a lot of thoughts to think, and feelings to feel. It's also an exciting time where you can reframe and make sense of experiences in your life that come with a whole new level of meaning now.

You are not alone on this path. I recommend the following resources and I hope that you find them helpful and comforting as you learn about yourself.

2. Neurotribes: The Legacy of Autism and the Future Of Neurodiversity by Steve Silberman.

4. Guide to Good Mental Health on the Autism Spectrum by Yenn Purkis, Dr. Emma Goodall and Dr. Jane Nugent.
